New music in Quadraphonic concert

Hi ,
This is a concert Im putting on at Colchester Slackspace on 3rd December 2010 at 7.30 pm

During the Afteroon at 1 pm my collegue Sarah Watts will perform a solo bass clarinet recital featuring :-

Stuart Russell presets an evening of quadraphonic new music featuring both acousmatic works, live electronics and mixed media

Firewire : Improvisation group perform a devised peice by Stuart Russell that involves live recording/ manipulation plus an improvisation of their own

Quad sound rig: Peter Rice

In the afternoon on the same date Sarah Watts will perform a solo bass clarinet concert featuring work by :-

Donatoni – Soft
Simaku – soliliquoy
Berio – sequence 9c
Cardew – Mountains

This is a rare oppertunity to hear these works, not to br missed!

Sarah will then follow at 2.30 PM with a workshop on writing for the bass clarinet, answering any questions composer may have. This is of partcular interest to members of Colchester New Music who may be writing for SCAW in the next creative music day.
